Install the app
Find Stockist Map Sync in the Shopify App Store and click Install. Approve the required permissions when prompted. The app needs access to your customers (to read tagged addresses) and your online store (to display the map).
Configure your sync tag
Open the app and go to Settings. In the Customer Tags section, add the tag you want to use for stockists. The default is stockist, but you can use any tag.
Any customer with this tag will have their address synced to the map.

Go to Customers in your Shopify admin and add your sync tag to any customers you want on the map. Make sure each customer has a complete address — the app needs at least a city and country to geocode.
Then come back to the app and click Sync Now to pull in all tagged customers.
Or import via CSV
If you have existing locations in a spreadsheet, go to Import in the app. Download the CSV template, fill in your locations, and upload. Required column: name. Optional: address1, city, province, country, zip, phone, hours, website, description, category.
Addresses are geocoded automatically during import.
Add location details
From the dashboard, click Edit on any location to add or update:
- Display name (override the customer name)
- Phone number
- Website URL
- Opening hours
- Description
- Category
These details appear when visitors expand a location on the map.
Customise the map
In Settings, configure the map to match your brand:
- Map style — choose from Default, Light, Voyager, Dark, or Topographic
- Marker colour — set your brand colour for map markers
- Default centre & zoom — where the map centres when a visitor first loads it
- Search radius — how far the search looks for nearby locations
- Search box — toggle the search bar on or off
Add the map to your theme
Go to Online Store → Customize in your Shopify admin. Navigate to the page where you want the map (typically a dedicated "Stockists" or "Store Locator" page).
- Click Add section (or Add block)
- Under Apps, select Plynthr Stockist Map
- Save the theme
You're live!
Visit your storefront page to see the map in action. Visitors can search by address, have their location auto-detected, and click any location for full details and directions.
Future changes sync automatically — tag a new customer and they appear on the map within minutes.
